While studio recording has always required lots of tape and several VTR’s controlled from the gallery, you have always liked the linear record capability this system offers. Sometimes you don’t want to assemble your finished recording in post production, sometimes you just want to pause for a break in the studio and pick right up again where you left off... Current disk-based solutions don’t give you quite the same levels of control.

Now, with the Gravity Studio Recorder, you achieve the same workflow, control and linear record advantages that you get from your current professional video tape decks, but without the need for tape or post production.

SD or HD - Working in either SD or HD you can pause your recording, rewind to the last good clip, then give the studio a pre-roll preview of the last event and the gallery a pre-roll count down, cut back to record; cue up the tape and… action. The system provides a gallery countdown on screen and a separate video replay out for the studio. Choose any format for your programming; a standard 2RU device gives you 20hrs(@ DVCPro 50 RAID1) of record time. The standalone design gives you SDI I/O and behaves exactly the same as your current VTR’s. Broadcast News & Production, Education, Archiving, Marketing, Security, Government.

Gravity Studio Recorder is a standalone PC system running ‘Gravity Studio Recorder’ software.The unit can be used as a standalone VTR replacement or integrated with a Gravity system.
