Gravity

Gravity is a complete Content Control solution for Broadcasters, offering tools for Content Acquisition, Preparation, Production, Media Management and Monitoring.

Our system uses the latest software and hardware technologies to provide a format and codec agnostic platform. This flexibility allows users to work in any format (HD, SD files or streaming) or multiple formats of their choice at the same time. Our TCP/IP based system uses an industry standard SQL database to store all the content information including user added metadata. Gravity provides broadcasters with the reliability of fully redundant hardware elements and multiple network links to remote sites.

What

Gravity runs on standard Windows™ based infrastructure, and a complete system comprises: Encoders, Decoders, Asset Managers, Storage Servers, Package Production Tools, Schedulers and Transcoders. These components can be combined in various quantities and locations across a LAN, WAN or MAN and can be scaled to meet the needs of any broadcast situation, regardless of size and system architecture.

How

Gravity uses software installable codecs that allow the system to operate in a wide variety of compression formats. More than one format can be used at a time on a single Encoder, Decoder, Transcoder, Package Production Tool, and Asset Manager. The encoders can simultaneously create files in three different formats from a single input at varying compression ratios. With Gravity technology, no time is wasted waiting for a low resolution version to be created, as a low resolution proxy version is automatically created in real time during capture. A powerful transcoding engine is available at any point in the production process to convert files to other supported formats as needed.
