Support Engineer, Systems & Support Group

We are looking for an enthusiastic engineer to complement our established support team. The ideal candidate will have experience of either the music or broadcast industry and have a strong understanding of audio and audio technology. To succeed in this role you’ll need to be a good communicator with excellent time management skills. You should be able to plan ahead, be comfortable working to tight deadlines and demonstrate a consistently high level of attention to detail in everything you do. This position demands a high degree of flexibility and involves significant international travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Client based system commissioning and configuration
  • Client based operational and technical training on our current range of products
  • Client based fault diagnosis and repair
  • Office based telephone and email support
  • Out of office hours’ emergency telephone support

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience working in the professional audio industry
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in Electronic or Audio Engineering
  • Demonstrate a high level of computer literacy
  • Understanding of IP networking, configuration and fault finding
  • Understanding of analogue electronics - fault finding and repair to component level an advantage.
  • Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to think laterally
  • Flexible schedule and willingness to travel on short notice
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer-focus with an understanding of the sensitivities required in a client-facing role
  • Aptitude for self-learning
  • Team oriented individual with the ability to work under own initiative
  • Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritise and work under pressure
