SSL is looking for a junior Support Engineer to join our UK team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with the right attitude and good base-knowledge of professional audio who is keen to grow in a real-world, high-impact role, developing and sharing their knowledge with customers and peers.

The ideal candidate will be a confident, flexible, and motivated individual with good people-skills who takes ownership of time-critical issues and sees them through to resolution. They enjoy international travel, have good communication skills, excel at problem-solving & critical thinking, and have a drive to improve existing skills and learn new ones.


Key Duties:

  • Providing remote support by telephone, email and video conferencing
  • Delivering on site commissioning, training, support and maintenance in the UK and worldwide
  • Out of hours emergency telephone support
  • Developing internal and external support material


Essential Requirements:

  • Some experience of broadcast, live or studio workflow
  • Understanding of analogue electronics & components
  • An analytical approach, with an eye for detail and a passion for problem-solving
  • A desire to travel internationally and interact with customers and partners
  • Good written and verbal communication
  • Good IT skills
  • Confident working alone and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving license


Desirable Competencies:

  • Ability to understand schematics and technical drawings
  • Component-level rework skills
  • Technical authoring experience
  • Experience of network audio protocols and application
  • Previous experience in a technical support role
  • Previous experience using SSL equipment
