Job Description
SSL is actively seeking a Support Engineer and Technical Trainer to complement our UK based team. Supporting clients in the broadcast, live, and studio sectors, the position is based at SSL's headquarters in Oxfordshire and includes significant worldwide travel, sometimes at short notice. Key Duties
Reporting to the Support Team Leader, you will be primarily responsible for post-sales support, on-site system commissioning and client training.  The role will also include the following:

  • Software testing and validation
  • Investigation of client hardware, software and workflow issues
  • Authoring technical documentation
  • Developing internal and external training material
  • Assisting other areas of the business including product demonstration, product development and process improvement
  • Out of hours emergency telephone support
  • Office based telephone and email support

Essential Requirements:

  • At least 2 years experience in a technical role in professional audio or broadcast
  • Experience in troubleshooting at a system level
  • Understanding of workflows and systems in one or more of SSL’s key markets
  • Proven client-facing skills
  • Attention to detail with an ability to quickly assimilate and recall information accurately
  • Good written and verbal communication
  • Ability to prioritise and work logically and efficiently under pressure, independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving license
  • Desire to travel internationally

Desirable Competencies:

  • Experience of networking & AoIP technologies
  • DANTE Level 2 or 3 certified
